About two years ago I was told about this mystical 545 mile cycling ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I heard stories of the training, fundraising, volunteering, and all around craziness that the ride entailed. One thing that was completely understated was what the ride was helping accomplish. The AIDS LifeCycle (ALC) helps raise awareness and support for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. The foundation plays a critical role in supporting the community with needle exchanges, support for those with mental health issues, preventative care, education, and so much more!
For narcissisms sake it’ll be incredible to be able to share with people that I rode 545 miles from SF to LA. But it’ll be even more rewarding to tell them about the services I helped fundraise for and the people that benefited from the foundations support.
This is why we need you. As a community we are here for each other, helping each other along the way and pushing each other to be our best selves. And while the medical landscape has changed drastically over the years there is still more work to do. Please join me and help support this incredible cause.
This is a short video from April 17th 2016 when I was honored with the opportunity to speak at the opening ceremony for the NorCal Day on the Ride event.
